I have not, though if you can log into your account I'm guessing you are on to the next round. I can't log into mine so I'm guessing I'm out.

That's a really bold assumption though. Could be the other way too. I don't know, maybe moving the ones who got through to another database, while just ignoring the rest. It is stressful waiting though, and knowing there's this 'division' - whether or not it means anything.

I think its a fair guess actually. So far the people who lost access said they got the message "Only semifinalists may access the system at this time." But you are right, its still just a guess. I don't think the award sign in will work unless you are a finalist with an offer from a sponsor.

I missed the part about the message. In that case, the probability that the claim is right is a little bit higher. All we could do is wait, I suppose.

What log in page is everyone talking about? Just the regular page to access the application? I have not received an email but I can log in and it is just the same screen that shows after you complete the app.

Emails are out! I just received my email from smart saying I made it through to next stage.

There are no words to describe the copious amount of joy oozing out of me but yes like said previously these next few months will seem the longest waiting for the calls and final awards.

I got so excited, I lost my breath! It's still unknown if I'll get rewarded, if anyone who received a positive email gets rewarded, because it's now up to the sponsoring facilities and the interview.

As I recall, it's about 50% that move on in the first stage, then 1/4 are selected by sponsoring facilities, then a 2/3 chance to be awarded after the interview? Do I have this right? And this is all in "recent years".

These are the same figures I have come across. It might seem like a lot of people are getting this award because the people posting on the forums most likely a) are on the forum because they deeply care about the process and their application and thus put a lot of time, effort, and consideration into it. and b) people who did not move on to be semifinalists most likely wouldn't be in the mood to post somewhere about it. If it were me I would just move on and not look back and pine away on the forums anymore.

So basically I like to figure that since the odds were originally ~10% and half the competition is eliminated then our odds now are roughly 20%
