Is your internship support payments based off of your summer address or your school address or your home address being 50 miles away from your sponsoring facility?
I apologize if this question has been answered on here, but it seems I cannot get a straight answer. The current handbook says your SUMMER address, but then that raises the question what if you do not know your summer address before they give out the first support payment in April if you plan to start in May. Again I apologize if this question has been answered.
Thanks
ISP Payments
Re: ISP Payments
It's your permanent address. Typically students don't update their address to their school, so it's the address that you would typically return to during the summer. Obviously your circumstances may vary, but that's the general assumption that they work off of. Most students aren't able to stay on-campus during the summer for no cost, so even if your school is within 50mi of your SF, the assumption is that it will still cost you money to stay there. But if your permanent address is within 50mi of your SF, the assumption is that you have a "free" place to live during the summer, so you don't need the ISP.GuestWhoItis wrote:Is your internship support payments based off of your summer address or your school address or your home address being 50 miles away from your sponsoring facility?

Obviously this doesn't get into the "fairness" aspect of the issue (I easily banked $9000+ from my internship) but that's life.
