SF Interview: Recommendation

Post by Guest »

Hi Guys,

Perhaps this situation is a bit unique. But I've been searching this forum for some time, now, and I can't find a post that addresses this.

Has anyone ever experienced this: being verbally told, by an SF interviewer, that you would be recommended, then, receiving later correspondence, stating that the SF interviewer WILL NOT recommend you?

Many thanks, in advance!

I haven't heard/read something like that either. Did you actually get a correspondence stating you weren't recommended ? or is it just a hypothetical question ?

If you did, mind sharing the name of the location ?

Hi shakalaka,

No, this is not a hypothetical. This actually happened to me!

I interviewed w/ an SF, was told I would be recommended, then received an e-mail (from one of the people who interviewed me), saying that I wouldn't be recommended.

I've since deleted the e-mail (perhaps to put it out of mind). Unfortunately, I cannot remember the SF.

Strange. I think the SF got approved for less positions than they anticipated. It seems to happen quite often. They ask for 5 and gets approved for 3 etc.
