Anxious, also note that since they are Monterey, CA based, it is possible for award notifications to be sent as late as 8:00PM EST. I can't say for sure that it will occur, but it is a possibility.

If you check on the Recipient side, they were just re-awarded their Internship Support Payments last Friday. Anyone think the processing from that might delay our notifications?

I was thinking the same thing, the SMART folks might be scrambling to adjust the budget for this year's awardees.
I put today on my calendar and then completely forgot about it until reading this thread. Damn all of you for turning me into a nervous puddle now.....

Also Friday and Sunday was a holiday, so there were likely no late hours pulled to get anything done on time. Let's hope that a government agency got their work done before the take that day off (yeeeeeeaaahh right).

Yeah, that seems possible. It also seems possible that it will significantly reduce the number of scholars they can give awards to this year, if they have to reallocate some of the budget.

That was also my thinking. There will be less money and it will take more time to re-distribute it/figure out the awardees for this year.

I doubt this will have much to do with our timeline. Our primary concern probably should be that current scholars have had their IPS re-awarded but it made no mention of where they stand in regards to IPS payments for future scholars. If they simply drop the IPS starting with our class then it actually simplifies the selection process. Which would suck because I included that money in my initial budget.

I don't think we should expect something at any time in particular (or day for that matter). All we can do is wait, and if we do not hear anything by 8:00PM EST, then likely it will not be coming today. But how could anyone possibly know when they would sending notifications, ya know what i mean?
Someone posted earlier that when they tried to log into https://smart.asee.org/award they were getting redirected to some "sessions" error page. I'm still getting the "Either the email address or the password you entered is incorrect" message. Are there lots of other people getting redirected to a different page? If so, I'd be willing to bet that those emails are on the recipient's list.

Wouldn't 5:10 Central time mean we should expect something around 6:10 EST?

And yes, I also did not appreciate the "Official Letter Received"! I saw that and saw nothing in my inbox and scrolled up catching key phrases like, "I am not liking what I am reading" and "It's just beach water!"...
