I've also not had any successful attempts at logging in. Hopefully this is not a sign of anything.

Do you guys think that Monday will be the day? (ie: That they will not be late in decision-making and award notifications?) Just like the rest of you, I am sitting on the edge of my seat.

My plans for Monday:

-Go to work until 12:00pm (don't check e-mail, don't check e-mail)--I can't hide how I feel, so reading an acceptance or declination at work will be bad either way.

-When I get in my car to go home--check e-mail, check e-mail, check e-mail

-Throughout the day: check e-mail, check e-mail, check SMART forum, check e-mail, stay glued...

This is quite sad that I have it all planned like this, but it's true. :)

I would say the same thing, except this describes my entire weekend. Out of sheer habit, I've checked email and this forum over a dozen times today, even though I know nothing is going to happen.

I agree--it's all I've been able to think about all weekend. I just hope that there's no delays, and that we find out on Monday and no later!! *fingers crossed*

I wonder how some people seem to have already gotten award notifications....? I feel like some have already received awards, where most haven't. Is this true...?

Should I expect a phone call or e-mail? I'm wondering because I wonder if I should keep my cell phone on my desk and on tomorrow at work...??

I feel like you can't really know. some SFs will let their scholars know in advance, at least according to other threads from previous years. But a majority do not.

And remember, nothing is official until we receive that email from ASEE, so that twitter account is celebrating prematurely. I'm not worried about it.

But this error comes up

I'm confused: are you guys current SMART scholars who were applying for extensions? A clarification of your comments about your email being removed would help us newbies who are using the log-in website as a barometer of our decision status.

They are current applicants, just like the rest of us. The errors they are receiving could be due to the fact that they are updating the recipients in the database so they will be able to log on LATER. The message saying username or password incorrect is the same people have been experience since when they tried last week. What has been posted so far means nothing for certain. So sit back, relax and wait for the notification email. Unless someone successfully logs in and sees a page stating they have been awarded a SMART scholarship, speculation on the matter is useless.

I am checking casually. However the call I got from a SMART personnel had a west coast area code and based on previous posts it seems that SMART operates out of that time zone. So even if they did send it out first thing in the morning it would be 11AM eastern.

For the email update in February, the time was at about 10:50 central time. I am hoping they will send it around that time again.

I feel like they probs won't send out the email until the afternoon. It's kinda like firing people, you don't do it in the morning, you do it closer to the end of the day.
