Should I be worried v.2

Post by CivEng »

Hey y’all, I’m a first-time, first-year civil engineering student and I was curious if I should be worried about not hearing back. Just based on a few interactions on this forum it seems some folks have already been contacted, if I haven’t should I say goodbye to any chance of getting this?!? Thanks!

Nah. Most of the interviews happen in February. Give it two weeks. If you don't hear anything back, then you should be worried.

People have won the internship without ever being contacted for an interview at all, so you won't know if your chances have gone until the decisions are sent out.

They also said in the zoom call that locations have to interview all candidates that put them on their priority list this year. You should eventually hear back from some of the ones if you selected locations.

Facilities don’t have to interview applicants that put them in their top 5. However, facilities must interview applicants that they are selecting as primaries or secondaries.
