2020 Semifinalists
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
You'll get an email.
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
I had an interview with Camp Pendleton as well. I think they interviewed students who picked SFs in their area- my second choice was in California. When I interviewed, they told me that I was in their top 2, so I'm wondering how many slots they get for students there.mixolydianSSF wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 4:08 pmHey everyone,
I'm a EE major transferring from a California Community College to Cal Poly SLO. I've gotten 4 interviews. 2 were from different squadrons at my top choice facility (Edwards AFB). The other two were from facilities that I did not select, Picatinny Arsenal in NJ and Camp Pendleton in CA.
Last week, I also received an email and call from SMART asking if I wanted to update my rankings. I said no (I want to keep Edwards AFB as my first choice) but that the interviews with Camp Pendleton and Picatinny definitely increased my interest in them.

I have not heard back yet either. I am a freshman CS Math major and a Math MS. I got an interview, but I don't think it went well. Any other ideas on when we hear back?
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Watch us all get rickrolled by SMART and the decisions aren't even today
Ugh I just want to knowwwww screw the suspense

Re: 2020 Semifinalists
To be fair, it's not really a rickrolling. We did this to ourselves
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
I'll take the blame
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
All quiet on my end as well lol...if they know at this point I wish they would just release it.

Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Honestly, no idea. I only noticed it today. I don't recall seeing it before, but that's not to say it wasn't there. Sorry! I wish I knew, myself lol.
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
I've seen it on previous days.
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Did it show that current date or a past date?
I do have a feeling we are NOT finding out today

Hello All,
I contacted SMART today and they said that acceptance/rejection notifications will go out sometime in April. They don't know when. I asked if COVID-19 has impacted their process and they replied no. I think that somehow it is delaying the process. We will have to wait and see.

Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Y'all, is our award year considered 2019 or 2020? Because looking at the "Schools with SMART Scholars" page on the website, the most recent year there is 2018 (suggesting we would be 2019 SMART Scholars). The reason this is important is because The 2019 Award statistics are available on the website, which I at least haven't seen before (https://smartscholarshipprod.service-no ... dc7c9619c3). I could be wrong, but figured I'd mention it lol
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Lol right. I've been looking for any "hints" possible on the website, awardee portal, etc. I just want to know D:
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
Lol to lighten the mood a little since we are all very anxious right now (XD) I've watched this 2020 semifinalist thread jump from 2000 views to 4000 views literally since Wednesday lolol
Re: 2020 Semifinalists
The extra 2000 views come from me

Re: 2020 Semifinalists
I'm surprised more people aren't looking at the "2020 Finalist Decisions" thread. But I'm sure that will jump as soon as people start posting the acceptance news.
