Educational Crowdfunding

Post by insider007 »

A lot of students may require supplemental funds to be able to attend university without going into debt. I have been an educator for 10 years and have created http://www.scholarrelief.com. This is a research based crowdfunding website.

The concept is easy to follow. On this website, students can register, create, and post projects for free that showcase their talent. They then offer incentives for their donors and use their social networks to raise a large number of small donations.

For example, a culinary arts student might offer to send recipes. A software student might offer to design a video game and send out the first 50 prototypes to donors. A entrepreneurial student might offer a new product or series of services in exchange for donations. I have also created a blog where students can keep up articles about educational crowdfunding. The blog is located at the following link: http://scholarrelief.com/blog/

I am very interested to hear from students, parents, and administrators about scholarrelief.com and any improvements that we could make to the site to help students succeed at obtaining funding.
