Dellums awards

I applied for the dellums scholarship and was interviewed, but I got a letter earlier this week saying that my application for the smart scholarship was denied. I'm confused because their official social media accounts say that the dellums letters won't be rolled out until May, but I got one this week. Are all denial letters under the same format of "sorry your smart scholarship application was denied" vs specifying that it's a dellums denial? I'm just trying to see if I should keep hoping for a notification in May (even though I know it's unlikely). It's hopium, I know, but school is hella expensive
