SMART 2104 status?

Haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully, all individuals will receive notice at the same time, not just those individuals who received the award. At this point I just want to hear a decision (but I'd obviously prefer to hear positive news :) ).

I was rejected too. I thought for sure if we'd made it this far we had a good chance of receiving funding. Guess defense budget cuts have been taking their toll.

I have not received an email, but I went to smart.asee.org/award to see if I could login. After logging in, there was a message that I received an award. This was exciting, but confusing at the same time. The SF listed had not previously contacted me to let me know that they would be offering me an award. I'm going to treat this as unofficial until I am contacted by ASEE. Is it possible to get offers from multiple SF's? I had conversations and a verbal offer from another SF that I would have ranked higher. Anyone else in this position?

All the official email says is to log in to the awards site for more information. That would lead one to believe that the SF listed there for you is the one that is sponsoring you. I didn't get the facility I thought I would be getting either, but I am very happy with the one I got.

You may want to check your SPAM folder for the letter.

So if I can't log in using that page (but can still log in to my application page) is it likely that I probably didn't win? I didn't receive an email.

My conversations with SMART indicate that multiple SFs can make a bid. All the bids are put into a pool and each applicant awarded with a scholarship will receive one SF, selected based on a number of considerations including applicant specified priorities (if you got multiple SF bids you probably got a call from SMART asking to confirm your priority order), SF needs, funding, etc. So, you may have had multiple SFs interested but you will receive only one SF in the official offer.
