What level of clearance is required for smart internships?

I think it depends entirely on the facility and the job. But I've not gone through the process, so I could be mistaken.

Yes, facility-dependent. Everything ranging from S to TS-SCI. Your facility will outline their security requirements during onboarding or perhaps the interview.
