Married during background check

I'm part of the 2016 cohort, and I recently submitted my documents for my background check. I plan on getting married soon and changing my last name. Does anyone know how this may affect my background check process and what steps I may need to take, if any, to update my paperwork after the marriage and name change is finalized.

As long as you're not marrying a foreign national it shouldn't be any problem. Contact your investigating authority and notify them. The name change is nothing,it's the partner that they'll need info about
