So, I was listening to the orientation lecture and I am freaking out right now because they said the following:
"SSPPs maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale from the academic institution(s) for
which they receive SMART funding. After a SMART award is funded, only the grades for the degree
funded by SMART are used to calculate the SSPP’s GPA. If the SSPP fails to maintain the required GPA,
the SSPP may be placed in an auditable status of non-compliance and/or dismissed from the SSP. All
coursework that is offered for a grade must be taken for a grade. If the SSPP takes coursework on a
pass/fail basis when the course is offered for a grade, the SSPP may be placed in an auditable status of
non-compliance and/or dismissed from the SSP"
This is in Phase 1. I am in Phase 0, just recieved the scholarship and I will be visiting my site this summer. I am freaking out because last semester I pass/failed an elective because I did not want it to hurt my gpa. I was wondering if I will be put in " an auditable status of non-compliance and/or dismissed from the SSP." I am not sure if they mean that after my funding starts, I can no longer pass/fail courses. Or if I any of my courses are pass/fail (and they are even before i get funded).
Also, what is an auditable status of non-compliance??
I am kind of scared that I will lose the scholarship. please please let me know if you know anything about this.
Pass/Fail Course
Re: Pass/Fail Course
This shouldn't affect you until they start paying for classes (August). The only time past classes should affect you is if you're staying GPA is lower than a 3.0.
