I was just wondering if anyone if anyone working in phase II is receiving some kind of SLRP benefit from their branch of the military or sponsoring facility? I'm in the Army Branch working at Picatinny, and I've heard of people getting anywhere from $10,000 to $4,800 a year towards their student loans. This requires a 3-year service commitment, and is part of the government's retention program.
Just wondering if anyone is still receiving this kind of aid, as it seems everyone I talk to at my SF has had their loans repayed up until this year. Let me know thanks.

I'm not in phase II yet but I plan to ask for this during the hiring process.
Re: Student Loan Repayment Programs
I was funded by SMART for 3 years, and had my first year's debt repaid by a SLRP, relocation pay, and got a 25% salary sign on bonus. All for only a 1 year commitment, which was worked off concurrently to SMART, so it was effectively 'free'. From what I'v heard, I was one of the last people to receive it. Now my SF takes the stance that SMART itself is enough of a hiring incentive and offers no relocation, SLRP, or sign on bonus anymore. Also, not all SMART scholars were hired in the same hiring system, and I was one of the better off SMART students in terms of what all I got.
