Hey all,

Are there any current fellowship recipients who have been using their Montgomery GI Bill benefits at the same time as the fellowship? It just seems too good to be true that we can receive those benefits as well as the Fellowship funds. I want to make sure before I put in that $600 extra buy-in.

The handbook makes it very clear. They specifically state you are allowed to receive the g i bill at the same time.

Yes, the SMART program allows it, but the question was: in any applicable fellows experience, has the VA paid the bill if they see you have fellowship funding for school. They work closely with the schools registrar/bursar.
