Other DoD Scholarships

Post by dsw1692 »

Hey guys, so I was out at breakfast with my friend the other morning when he told me that he had just been accepted into his scholarship program through the DoD. It's the same type of deal as SMART from what I gathered: school paid for, annual stipend, internships/employment, etc. The only differences are the stipend is a bit smaller and I believe it's specifically for computing and IT related majors. Anyways, from what he told me it seems like it's running fairly smoothly. Now how come that scholarship worked out the way it was supposed to while SMART is still trapped in what seems like a never ending sea of uncertainty?

He might be referring to the scholarship for service (SFS).

Short answer: it's structured SLIGHTLY differently than SMART.
