How important is knowledge of advanced materials during technical interviews?

Hey everyone,
I’m preparing for some upcoming technical interviews and had a quick question. How much do interviewers actually focus on materials and their applications?
I’ve been going through my basics, but I keep seeing how things like semiconductor materials are becoming more important in modern tech. You even see it in discussions around the semiconductor materials market, which seems to be growing a lot lately.
For those who’ve already given interviews, did you get asked anything related to materials or real-world applications? Or was it mostly core concepts and problem-solving?
Just trying to understand what I should focus on more. Appreciate any advice!
