The Unofficial SMART Scholarship Forum

I just found out a few minutes ago that I won't be getting the scholarship. I am a retention candidate that applied to SMART as well as another fellowship. I was awarded the fellowship, so my employer didn't select me because I am already funded.

There is no impact to my studies or research, but it's disapointing given the level of time and effort that I put into my SMART package.

Did your employer tell you this or did you get an actual letter/email from SMART?

If your employer made this decision, then this is a decision that would have come a couple weeks ago.. Why the drumroll?
