CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I've always got the message "You do not have access to Awardee Panel", but its because I was at work when people could get through the loop hole. I don't know if I was chosen for the scholarship or not. I did however, changed my password with the link below the login on the award page and all I had to do was provide my email address that I used for my scholarship packet and it still states " You do not have access to Awardee Panel".
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I don't want to belabor this thread. However, because this is going to be a long week and weekend until April 8. Also, to make me and everyone else more settled, i'm just going to leave this here.
Based on 2012 applicant thread and this one, it seems when you try to log in:
ones that received "you do not have access to award portal" means award credentials have been put into your profile but you cannot log in now because SMART has covered the "technical problem".
ones that received "invalid email/password" could mean award credentials have not been put in yet but hopefully SMART is still in play to update all awards.
As an experiment from the 2012 applicant thread, it would interesting to see if when you reset your password on the https://smart.asee.org/award page--- how many people receives an actual password reset email or an "your email address was not found" ???

Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I have received the error that I have incorrect password, reset it and still received an email. I was still able to login to the apply section though. I believe people made statements before though that they had logged in saw they were awarded but now receive the inccorect creditials error as well.
Who knows, I will just have to wait, and keep attached to this forum to see if there's anyone to figure it out.

I got a password reset email when I submit my email. Did anyone not get an email or say that their email was not found?

Me too. Come on! We need more data points to reduce the standard error!Moo Cow wrote:Guest wrote:I would like to know, somebody have try to reset the password from the smart.asee.org/award page and have receive a email to reset the password? Originally got "email or password is incorrect", and received an email to reset my password when I clicked on the "Reset" link.Moo Cow wrote:Guest wrote:I would like to know, somebody have try to reset the password from the smart.asee.org/award page and have receive a email to reset the password? Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
Mine also says login is incorrect even after resetting the password. I wish it said I didn't have access lol, that sounds like good news

Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
If it first said you don't have access and than the server crashed and now it says password incorrect, what does that mean?

Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
Hi-
I am reading about the SMART Scholarhip Applicaition evaluation process from previous years, and I came across a description of a "Stage 4" evaluation process that happens **after** being contacted by the sponsoring facilities.
Um.... I never got a final phone call from the DOD after interviewing with my sponsoring facility. Did anyone else **not** get a phone call from the DOD after being interviewed by their sponsoring facilities? Everything went really well with my sponsoring facility, and they made sure I knew that I was wanted there. In other words, they specifically told me that they would "put in for me" with the SMART scholarship and hope that it goes through.
Therefore I just wanted to check!!
Thank you very much!
Evaluation Level 4
The SMART Program Office reviews application materials from and conducts phone interviews with, all candidates recommended for review by DoD agencies.
As a result of information obtained during the phone interview and application review, some candidates may be disqualified from award consideration. Reasons for disqualification include; inability or unwillingness to comply with the terms of the service agreement, change in degree type or field of study, change in required award length, degree type not offered at intended university, academic program not sufficiently technical**
The SMART Program Office offers awards to eligible recommended candidates based upon budget and programmatic considerations, as well as the best interests of the DoD. In recent years, approximately 2/3 of all recommended candidates were offered awards.
The number of awards made each year varies and is subject to availability of government funds.

Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I too was told I'd be recommended by the facility I interviewed with but received no further communication from anyone during "stage 4"
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
The SF that I interviewed with (Navy) told me they would be referring my name for the program. However, they stated that there was no guarantee that I would be chosen and that Army requirements superceded theirs. Of the half dozen interviewees, they said they only referred three.

Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
This is the message I got from ASEE "The award process is still on-going, and any notification you may have seen in the award portal is not valid at this time. Official award notifications have not been made yet, but will be emailed no later than April 8." So I'm taking that if you saw it Friday in your award panel that you got the award, it is not valid.
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
It is not valid because they haven't officially announced it yet. However, 2016 is next to the university I attend and I saw my award. So I think people who have seen the award have gotten it. It's just not official yet.JB139 wrote:This is the message I got from ASEE "The award process is still on-going, and any notification you may have seen in the award portal is not valid at this time. Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I don't think they uploaded award notices to those who will not receive them. They just don't want to commit to what was seen in case some error was made. If you saw the award notice, I would venture that you received it. If you did not, all bets are off.
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
They had to put your name into the system in order to show you received it. So those who saw it, got it. Sorry to burst your bubble dude, but they just don't accidentally enter names into a system saying they were awarded and then take it away. So if anyone that had access to the portal was able to see their offer, then more than likely they got it.
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
So are we under the assumption that people who get the "You do not have access to the awardee portal." may not have won anything? Maybe it's a holding pattern for people who are still in the running in case of someone dropping out.
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
There are people who can't access the award portal. Most likely they got an award but can't enter the portal because SMART pulled the access late last Friday. Then there are people who get wrong username and password... In their case either SMART is slowly updating or ....
Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
So the people who saw their award already are CURRENTLY getting the "You do not have access to the awardee portal." message?blahGuest wrote:So are we under the assumption that people who get the "You do not have access to the awardee portal." may not have won anything? Re: CHECK SMARTS WEBSITE! Login!
I found out I got the award through the loophole and it now gives me the "you do not have access to the awardee portal" message. Hope this helps.

Slightly side topic-
- Did anyone else *not* get a DOD phone call following the interview with the SF?? I did not.
Side note: when I try to log in right now, it still says I have the wrong username or password. I do not want to have a cynical outlook about this..... 4 more days until we find out one way or the other!
