I'm not sure if I need to file the taxes (supposedly every quarter) on my own through irs.gov or through paperwork given by SMART. Anyone know this works?

I mailed mine in on Saturday and it shows they have received it. Have you clicked the radio button to accept the award? It did not show up for me until I did this.

One other thing. I have just confirmed with SMART office that there's not a stipend difference between working on PhD and being a PhD candidate (10% bonus from $38k to $41.8k). Not going to complain with the overall offer but felt a little mislead in the application process.
