corsair, my daughter was contacted by dahlgren for smart, and my son will be working there this summer under NREIP. both are compsci majors. dahlgren seems to have a good recruitment and retention strategy, so if you get in and they like you, they will try to keep you. How about any of the Naval Surface Warfare facilities--particularly in Virginia, such as Dahlgren?

Both schools are in Virginia--UVA or Virginia Tech.

Thanks. It would be interesting to know what percentage of applicants vs those picked were CC transfers, mechanical, or aerospace engineering students. Some of the facilities list a disproportionate amount of EE's compared to other fields. Good luck to you, and hope you get that call next week!

I am also a CC student--transferring to a four year for aerospace engineering. I haven't been contacted either, but still keeping my fingers crossed.
