We're Back
Everything should be back to normal. Please let me know if you have any specific issues. Several months ago, a required security update was pushed to my web server. Due to the general lack of care I give the site, the forum software was no longer compatible. This was not unpredictable as the forum h...

Re: Leave during Phase 2 and not tell SMART?
Wow. Nothing shuts people up faster than the administrator outing someone that's posting while they're at work. Why would you even disclose that? Nobody would have any idea unless you went out of your way to put the OP on blast. Pretty stupid all around, and it makes everyone else question whether ...

Re: Leave during Phase 2 and not tell SMART?
How about this. Not telling SMART could definitely get you in legal trouble, and if someone wants to argue in court who has harmed the other party more, they can be my guest. Unfortunately, our genius OP posted from work and I'm not about to have SMART subpoenaing me for his IP, so imma just pretend...

I'm pretty sure they had a site they wanted us to book through in 2009. I think I had some reason I couldn't though, so I ended up booking it myself and submitting for reimbursement. They managed the hotel and transportation.

Re: Been Contacted?
not to be political, but maybe the lack of contact is because of the continuing resolution. a lot of resources are being used by DOD to report up their chain of command about how much money they have left, how much they still need, and what won't get done if the money doesn't come in. it's like the...

Re: Questions on Flight Testing
Simple answer is Edwards=Flight Test, AEDC=Ground Test. At AEDC they put engines in test rigs and do lots and lots of perfomance and envelope characterisation. At Edwards, we verify their data. Flight testing costs $$$, so we do fewer tests than they do. Both Edwards and AEDC are very large operatio...

Not sure how the application is setup this year, but I believe that since you are not enrolled in a degree program yet, you will still have to submit your scores.. The point is to have some information on your academic abilities without having a college GPA.
