Re: Withdrew - how do I get the $ I paid in taxes back?
There appears to be language in the debt establishment notification letters lately (the letter you get from your Component letting you know that they've officially established your debt) that has some information regarding recouping taxes. Looks like DFAS can provide you some form that you or your a...

Re: Leaving Grad School as a Retention candidate
Sisyphus' information is somewhat incorrect. Retention participants are typically only on the hook for the tuition/travel support/etc, as those are technically paid out through the SF's accounting systems (even though SMART sends it to your SF). As for repayment, there's a bunch of added language in...

Re: SMART or Start Work
Contrary to the above posts…you don’t have to be concerned about anything. If you’d rather pursue the other opportunity…then do so! So long as it’s prior to 1-Aug…then it’s no skin off anyone’s back. If you come back and apply again later, then it’s a fresh slate.

Re: Considering Extending to a Master's Degree

Re: Considering Extending to a Master's Degree
Some other scholars at my SF have added a MS by SAAR...didn’t have to reapply. I think this is newer policy to prevent the situation the previous poster was in. May want to check?

Re: Questions Regarding Eligibility and Essays
Phase 3 scholar here... 1. I think the 1.5 year requirement is to make sure that everyone gets to do at least one internship. If you’re a junior and only want funding for your senior year, you’re probably too late. (Unless you want to do a joint bs/ms, as was mentioned above. 2. I’ll respectfully di...
