Can anyone post what the approximate actual starting pay is for someone on the GS scale? I know that we are supposed to start out as a GS-07 step 1 ( unless negotiated higher), but OPM.gov lists that at $37,301 , which seems extremely low. Any update on this? I'm curious as well. I thought they would've deducted the taxes out of the debt repayment, but if they didn't, you should be entitled to that money.
