I'm putting in a request with SMART to allow me to finish my thesis during the first summer semester next year. I was wondering if people had advice on how to write the personal letter/who to address.

APG offers on-post housing (old barracks converted into apartments) for $600 a month with all utilities paid for except WiFi. The room is one bedroom and comes partially furnished with own bathroom. What kind of expenses are we allowed to claim? I know that another poster said we can't deduct living expenses and such for the actual internship, but what about educational expenses like textbooks?
