Re: Interim Clearance
I was granted interim within a day. Yet my final clearance investigation is going on a year -- the process sucks. It takes an exorbitant amount of time even for someone who is squeaky clean. Intrim, what level clearance are you waiting on? My SF took forever to get mine started and I'm supposed to ...

Re: Clearance Question
Not related to OP but another clearance question:
When listing employers for e-qip did anyone list SMART as current employment? Or was that left blank? If so what did you list for supervisor, etc.?

Re: Taxes taxes and Look more taxes!
Does anyone have a suggestion for who to file your taxes with? I have used TurboTax in the past but they don't let you file 1099-MISC for free. If you've had a good or bad experience with other programs I'd love to know!

Re: Security Clearance Timing?
So after I contacted SMART and my sponsoring facility multiple times I got the following somewhat helpful answer. SMART told me that in years past they have been the one to initiate clearances but new this year it is the SF's responsibility to initiate clearances. SMART said that they had sent our i...

Re: Prospective UK/ British Citizen Applicant
I think this might be a new addition to the program. I applied last year and I remember citizenship being a requirement. So you likely can't find any other non-US citizens with the scholarship because they just opened it to non-US citizens.

Re: AFRL/RQ not listed
I'm not sure about writing in but know that NOT ALL facilities filter out only applicants who listed them as a preference. I was interviews by at least 4 facilities I didn't select as a preference, 1 facility I did select and ended up being placed at a facility I hadn't listed.

I still haven't heard anything about starting my security clearance process. Re: Health Insurance Funds
The handbook states that we will receive health insurance allowance. But what if you are still on your parents' health insurance? It doesn't cost my parents anything to continue having me on their plan until I'm 26 (which won't happen until after I've graduated) so do I have to give these funds bac...

When I initially asked them about the completion date on the Service Agreement SMART told me as long as the month and year are correct then it doesn't matter. So I would think the same would apply for the onboarding form.

I just received an email from SMART about completing an onboarding session through the award portal, but the award portal doesn't show anything new yet. Looks like they're getting around to getting the onboarding session started.

Late Site Visit Form
Does anyone have any experience with turning in things late? I forgot to submit my site visit form and only remembered two days after it was due. I've submitted it now, but SMART hasn't said anything to me about it. Should I contact them?
Thanks
Thanks

Similarly, my Service Agreement lists May 1st as my degree completion date. Do I need to get that changed if my degree completion is later in May or is that just an approximate date?

Re: What are the dates?
I got an acceptance letter today. I've been trying to get info online and someone said orientation is June 30th, which seems really late because I go back to school on August 19th. Does anyone know the rough start and end dates for the internship? My understanding is that you must complete a site v...

Re: Award Acceptance Documents Help
You must accept the award before being able to view documents. Don't worry though. You do not have to really officially accept the scholarship until after you have visited your facility. At that point you need to make the final decision if you are truly willing to make the commitment Thanks! This w...

I am also having this problem, I emailed them bu so far no reply. Please keep us updated and if so let SMART know it is a problem for more than one person! I clicked the I intend to accept and then everything appeared again. Weird though that I could see them the first night then they were gone.
