Award Adjustment Requests

Hi all,

Recently, I requested an award adjustment to change my degree level from a BS/MS to a BS. This would, in turn, change my graduation date, so I also submitted an award adjustment request through the SMART Awardee Portal. I have submitted all forms that are due on April 15th except the Educational Work Plan (EWP) and the SMART Service Agreement. My Scholar Coordinator advised me to hold off on submitting these forms until the requests are approved. She assures me that I can go past the deadline because of my award adjustment request.

Question 1:
By holding off on submitting arguably two of the most important forms, the Educational Work Plan and the SMART Service Agreement, could my award offer be rescinded? These documents are due by April 15th, and I feel that the request will take longer to be approved

Question 2:
How long does the award adjustment request from the Awardee Portal usually take to be processed by the SMART Program?

I just really want to guarantee my status in this scholarship.
