I do not personally have experience, but I have a colleague in my field that was a SMART scholar all the way through a BS and a PhD for a cumulative service agreement of eight years. I don't see what it would hurt your chances. If anything, you're a known quantity that has managed to stay compliant for X number of years. I imagine it helps or has no impact.

Applying again for next degree

Hey y'all. So I was awarded the SMART scholarship for the last two years of my B.S. I have really enjoyed my SF and am being encouraged to apply for a PhD (which I also want to do) under SMART this application cycle. Does anyone have experience with applying for a second SMART award? I am not sure if this hurts my chances in the application process.
