I think you will need to check with SMART. Typically you can't even take courses that aren't required for your degree, so I don't know what failing a non-required course does.

Has anyone had first hand experience falling below full-time student status? I studied abroad and failed two of three classes but that will not affect my graduation date as I completed nearly all of my degree before I left and did well in the class I needed... On paper the consequences sound pretty scary so I was just wondering if anyone has gone through this.
