I know this is a little late to be asking, but are applicants mainly chosen if they have an interest and drive towards working in cyber security when it comes to computer science? I am officially a scientific applications concentration, want to change it to data science. I had written in my application my interests in driverless cars and how important that is to me, due to a car accident I had. Would not showing a lot of interest in cyber security automatically have me denied of the SMART Scholarship for Service program?
