Basically my SF contacted me to see when I would be reporting. I told them I just had a short summer semester until I graduated so I was hoping that I could just come out as soon as that was over. They didn't have a problem with it. So I mainly went through my SF but I'm sure I contacted my CA and let her know also. Like I said, it was kind of a specific situation so I don't know how often they allow people to skip the internship.

How did you go about getting out of your summer internship for summer classes? Did you reach out to your CA or SF first?

I got out of my summer internship. I decided to take summer classes and they let me out of it so I could start working at my SF sooner. I don't know if they'll let you skip it to go work for another employer though.

Is the summer internship 100% mandatory? Is there anyone who has had success getting out of it? I am not enjoying my time at my SF and have been offered a summer internship elsewhere (Integrated Oil and Gas) that I would really like to take. If anyone has any experience in this please help me out. Thanks!
