My SF (NIWC-Pacific) is requiring an unpaid, virtual internship this summer (no support payments since not traveling for internship). I'm not thrilled.

With delays in security clearance approval and now COVID, I'll have completed one in person internship during my 5 years of SMART funding. Definitely not what I expected and far less money received during that 5 year period than predicted in my initial calculations and decision making ($30K+ less).

Hello All.
Just wanted to poll the forum and see how many SFs are allowing or preferring their scholars complete internships this summer. My SF is not expecting me to come in, although I am also moving to phase two to begin working in August. Please let me know!
