Yes, as long as it is under 16 hrs/wk (during the semester) you can work part time. Every year you file an annual report that asks you, among other things, what outside funding and outside employment you have held that year. You do not need to explicitly prove it was under 16 hours, however, that form will ask you how long you worked and you will need to sign the form certifying its accuracy.
