Public Health Majors

From reading other posts, many applicants seem to have more technical fields such as engineering or computer science. I earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry with a 3.96 GPA. I also held two summer interships through student programs with Merck and DHS. I have been involved in research projects from my sophomore to senior year in undergrad. My GRE scores were pretty average. I plan to pursue a MSci in epidemiology. However, I am interested in Biodefense, infectious diseases, and pharmacoepidemiology. Does anyone know the chances of a public health field getting accepted. I was already chosen as a semi-finalist. Does anyone know if someone interested in epidemiology has ever been chosen?
