I might be wrong but I think the field has to be usable in a defense type position. The SMART website has a listing of degrees that you can check out.

MS in forestry

Hello. I'm wondering if the University of Montana's MS in resource conservation (forestry department) qualifies to be paid for by SMART?

If so, which of these areas is in most demand?

Biometrics and Ecological Modeling
Climate Change
Community Based Conservation
Fire Science
Fisheries and Aquatic Ecology
Forest ecology and soils
Forest Entomology and Pathology
Graduate Education opportunities in GIS and Remote Sensing
Watershed Management and Hydrology

(I left a lot out. a full list is at: http://www.cfc.umt.edu/grad/ )
