The in-school stipend can range from 25,000 to 38,000 depending on what degree you are in pursuit of (https://smart.asee.org/about/benefits). I believe the breakdown is 25k for undergraduate, 38k for PhD and somewhere in the middle for Masters.

jjim390, you seem like someone in the know. I'd heard there was a pay increase (~3,000) for PhD candidate if they passed some milestone. Do you know if that is still true and what milestone earns the raise?

That is the in-school stipend. If your stipend is $38000/ year, you get $3166.67/month over all 12 months while in school. If you are more than 50 miles from your sponsoring facility, you get extra for living expenses during the summer internships.

Your pay for after you get your degree is going to be facility dependent.

Is the stipend cited on the website provided when in college, or is that the payment for employment after receiving the scholarship?
