Out of curiosity, did you just get a recruitment award, or is it an extension from a previous SMART award, and do you know which division gave you the offer?

to guest200 how has your experience been at the Arnold Air Force Base in TN?
I'm not guest 200, but I can tell you about my experience...

I think it just depends on what division is giving out the offer. My division wasn't completely truthful about what they do, so it doesn't really fit entirely with the degree I said I was pursuing, and a few of the folks in my division seem to be pushing me to change my studies (to an area I said I wasn't willing to study in during my interview). At my school, when we pursue a master's, we generally choose 2 areas to focus our studies in.

Along with this, there really isn't anything in the local area except for the base. Most people live in Murfreesboro or Nashville (where civilization exists -- I'm being over-dramatic) and deal with a 1-2 hour commute (each way).

Do you by chance remember who it was who interviewed you, and what division they said you would be likely be working in?
