tony, nobody knows if they will get it. create a contingency plan that includes applying for every scholarship that you are qualified for, but be ready to pay for it yourself (obviously the last resort). there are also co-op positions, like the CIA's program: https://www.cia.gov/careers/student-opp ... /index.html

If you have someone waiting to hire you once you make the first cut, you should most certainly apply. Unless they change something this year, 1/2 the people make it past the first cut. That is likely to be higher if you have a compelling application - and references from the people you list make for a compelling application. But even if we neglect that, it is no worse than a coin toss. And a coin toss which has 25k + full tuition on one end of it is certainly an opportunity worth jumping on.

Hello I am a just graduated highschool senior
I would be applying from my sophmore year of college. I plan to attend wayne state university
my gpa was a 3.3
and my act was a 21 composite

However I have been a TARDEC summer hire 2 years in a row, working in the labs at TARDEC
My reference would be an associate director, a colonel, plus a highschool principal.
I have someone waiting to hire me in if I make it past the first cut

What do you think? could I make it passed the first cut?
