I HAD to share.... I literally just sat at my laptop and said out loud "WHAT?!!!" to the post a few comments up. Good one guys, really. I noticed the "aprfls" name too... yet I still was shocked. VERY funny....

I got an email saying that I won, and I didn't even apply!

Did you get a phone call from the SMART board?
I interviewed with an agency and they flew me out to tour the facilities, and I know they put my name forward, but I still have yet to receive a phone call from the SMART board, something that in the FAQ timeline they said that they did for EVERYONE. I wasn't too concerned because I figured they still had at least a week to get around to it, but if they said we'd be hearing within the next day or two, now I'm nervous.

I revived my letter today from Secretary Panetta welcoming me with this exciting opritunity within DoD.

I was first going to reply with "Congrats! That's awesome"...but then I just realized it's April 1st, and I forgot that I'm completely gullable.

With that being said, did you really get an e-mail? Or is this a joke? :)

If you really did get an e-mail, was it in your regular inbox or spam? At this point should I not expect any sort of phone call? People who weren't selected would get notification that they dis not receive the award, right?

I feel like I'm waiting for Christmas or something...

So, i just checked my email and much to my surprise...

I HEARD FROM SMART! They said that I have been selected as a 2012 scholar and that all selectees will hear in the next day or 2. This news has totally made my April 1st, 2012!!!!
