Hello Megan,

The short answer is maybe. I asked my Cohort Administrator this same question and she told me that it was up to my base. She highly reccomended that I get an MS instead of an MEng, but ultimately the base that would be hiring me had the final say. After talking to my Point of Contact at my facility, he said that an MEng would be fine for what I will be doing. But, this may not be the case with every base.

If you do get an interview, be sure to ask the interviewer if the base would be willing to take an MEng instead of the traditional MS. Its better to ask ahead of time and figure it out then before a base that doesnt accept an MEng requests you.

Hope this helps!

Does anyone know if the SMART program would fund a Master of Engineering degree?
I know it pays for Master of Science in Engineering degrees...but have never seen any mention of a M. Eng program

Thanks!
