If you're doing both degrees at the same school, I would apply for the BS/MS for 2 years. No one who is going from a BS to grad school has been accepted yet. I applied for SMART for my MS during my senior year. I was super lucky to get accepted around Dec 1 and was able to very quickly add it to my SMART application about 3 hrs before the deadline. That's not normal. Most master's students have not yet been accepted when they apply to SMART.
I made sure the estimated date of completion was 2 yrs from 2026 the start of scholarship, and then I also made proposed degree to BS/MS for context.

So where it asks me are you currently enrolled in this program do I just put no? I'm currently enroleld in the bachelors but not the MS. Also when putting down what my degrere will be I put my bachelors degree(with title) and then i put a +(like this) and said Masters in ____. Is that fine??

Selection of Degree on DOD smart application

So, I'm about to enter my junior yr of college, and I just found out about the DOD smart program. As the website mentioned, if you apply now you get your scholarship starting the year after. I'm interested in pursuing a masters right after my bachelors degree( I haven't gotten accepted to this masters program). Do I request funding for BS/MS in the application or just the bachelors program for now? This would make my reqeuest for funding 2 yrs.
I'd appreciate any feedback.
Thanks!
