GPA in selection process

by newapp24 » Mon Dec 02, 2024 10:20 am

Hi! I just submitted my application and I am curious if any of y'all might have some insight on a conundrum I've been considering. So, while I do have a GPA high enough to qualify for the scholarship, my grades aren't great and that GPA score is largely being bolstered by non-STEM classes. However, I do have pretty extensive research experience, including a six-month stint doing full-time research, and about 2 years working in an undergrad lab. I have a couple of publications though they're not in the field I'm majoring in now. Not sure if my grades will disqualify me or if my research experience will make up for them! I would appreciate any advice/opinions!
