internship sublet/living situation

Postby Jessica Ford » Wed Mar 20, 2013 4:54 pm

Hi all!

My SF is with the Army Public Health Command in Aberdeen, MD (about 45 min north of Baltimore). I currently live in North Carolina and am looking for a sublet or something for the internship period. Due to programmatic requirements, mine will be from 5/12/13 through 6/29/2013.

So, does anyone a) live in the Baltimore/Towson/Aberdeen area and have a room they would like to rent, b) know of a sublet in that area ,or c) also going to work for the Army in Aberdeen and like to go in together to find something/rent?

Get back to me asap if you are interested.

Also, feel free to use this thread to coordinate internship living situations in other areas.

I may be able to help. I live just South of Baltimore. Message me if you are still looking for a place.

Hi Jessica,

I just got accepted into SMART and my SF is with the Army Public Health Command in Aberdeen too. Have you already coordinated a living situation? Also, have you talked to anyone at PHC about what sort of work you would be involved in?

I was also recently awarded a SMART and placed with PHC. If you feel comfortable, it might be nice to discuss our placement. My (temporary, for this purpose) email is smartphc @

I'm very excited that I've been selected to interview for a position with PHC Aberdeen. I'm wondering how your experience has been so far and if your housing worked out.

Any information you can provide would be very helpful. They've asked to do either an in-person interview or over the phone. I'm hoping to be able to make the in-person interview but it will be a bit tricky being far away and finals coming up in the next few weeks. I'm a civil engineer with an emphasis in geotechnical and environmental.
