Nuclear Weapons Facilities

Post by Guest907 »

Are there any facilities in the SMART program that work with or on nuclear weapons?

One of the sponsoring facilities has it right in the name - Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. Maybe some others work with them in some way or another. I don't think anything much more detailed than that is likely to be available in the public domain.

Minot AFB, Maelstrom AFB, FE Warren AFB, Kirkland AFB, Vandenberg AFB, Anderson AFB.For the air force anyway, the Navy has their own. However, a word of caution... Its not as cool as you think its gonna be. Just a bunch of 1970's technology with some modern updates. I worked as an electromechanical ICBM tech for 4 years.
