1) What is our SMART ID? Is that somewhere on our offer paperwork?
2) They say attach a voided check - what if we don't have checks? Also how do you even attach a voided check when I assume we are emailing or uploading the form???

1) It is printed on the bottom of your updated sponsor letter.
2) Print form. Order checks from bank. Scan form and voided check. Submit PDF.

I asked my bank and they printed a "starter check" for me. I will void that and attach it with the "Direct Deposit Authorization Form".

1) Cool! Thanks!
2)Ordering checks takes a long time (7-10 business days) which will hopefully make it before the due date, but it's not like I can order one check and it seems silly to have a bunch hanging around when I literally have never used a check in the 8 years of having the checking account. My real question though, I didn't attach one with the original paperwork I uploaded for ASEE - should I have??

you only attach a void check if youre having the money direct deposited into your checking. if you are doing it to savings, then you don't need to

Welcome. The Unofficial SMART Scholarship Forum is fully supported through this banner add. In the past, I have relied on this income to pay for all hosting and domain charges, but it has only covered half of my expenses in recent years. If this is the first time you are seeing a banner here, it is because an adblocker has prevented it from appearing (I don't blame you). If you have found this forum valuable, I would appreciate it if you consider supporting its upkeep. Thank you for being a part of this community. -Chris |
