Has anyone ever failed just one class?

Hi everyone!

Due to circumstances outside of my control and one truly unaccommodating professor, I'm likely going to fail the only class I've *ever* failed in the history of my coursework.

My GPA will remain above a 3.0 if this does happen. But I am still scared of the outcome. I am in touch with the program about it.

Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Would not worry about it. It happens more than you think. Be honest if it comes up with SMART but can't really see a reason why it should. You are pretty independent in planning your coursework so make sure you can get another class in to make up for it but I think they only really care about you getting your degree on time.

You would think that but they denied my request to drop to part time to avoid this situation :( having severe medical issues and only 2/3 professors were accommodating and they (SMART PMs) even know my request was medically motivated.

Still going to try my best to get a D and hope that's the end of it. My SF is on my side, at least... Terrified of losing this / my future with my SF just because I have an autoimmune disorder because there is literally nothing in life I love more than my job.
