Internship payment

Postby Internyu » Sat Nov 11, 2017 4:42 pm

So I know there are internship support payments that you get if you live far away from your SF....
But I live about 5 miles from my SF , so does that mean I get no extra money at all for my internship ?

Also can my SF pay me for my work with them during the summer? Or am I just gonna have to rely on the annual stipend.

It's support payment or nothing. Is your house and your school within the fifty miles? My thoughts are if one or the other isn't then you're still relocating for summer so you should be able to put the further one for the support payment as it's basically covering your relocation fees. If you're close either way then I think they don't send the support payment because your expenses shouldn't warrant the extra money. I wish there was an in-between though - like a small pay for gas and my car payment even if I live close.
