Congratulations to all the recipients on a job well done. As you are working through the paperwork, I think it is only fair to say, please carefully read through what you are going to sign, the Service Agreement, the Letter of Acceptance, etc. If there are any questions about any aspect of the Program and Sponsoring Facility, it is paramount that you ask and get a clear answer to your satisfaction before you accept. Do not assume that everything will be made clear after you accept. Because there are service and award payback requirements, this is not a matter to be taken lightly.

Also keep in mind though that it is possible to back out of the scholarship without penalties as long as you have not yet received any payments. That is, don't be too overwhelmed by the prospective commitment and not take it because you are nervous about overcommiting to the program.

You'll be able to back out through orientation. Don't worry about it too much.
