Resume

Post by m249tink »

I am active duty military, deployed to Afghanistan, retiring next year, and applying for the SMART Scholarship now. Can someone tell me what type of resume they want to be uploaded? Is it a Scholarship Resume or a Chronological Resume? What type of resume would be more beneficial to me?

I'm sure I will have a hundred more questions in the coming weeks.

Hi m249tink,

Do you have any post-high school education? If so, then I would do a scholarship resume and transition to a chronological resume emphasizing your military service. If you don't have any post hs education, then I would favor the chronological one. Reasoning: you're applying for a scholarship that is ultimately given out by your future boss (or your boss's boss).

If you don't have any post hs education, then definitely do the chronological one leaving space at the bottom for your hs education.
