Mine was only one day. Depends on your SF. You are in the clear as long as the SF approves.

My SF said they let scholars use the 2nd day to explore the area. So, I just picked the day before the official visit as my 2nd day when filling out the paperwork.

So my SF told me to keep those spaces (the site date visits) blank since we're still deciding on when the best dates should be. Is that okay with SMART? It came directly from my POC and she said it would be fine, and I turned in all my paperwork on time otherwise. Should I be worried?

1) Don't be worried about your dates, worst case they'll email you and say "Why is it blank?" and you'll respond and tell them that your SF hasn't picked them yet. We had visit request forms last year in my to get the travel stipend.

2) It depends on the SF and number of scholars for days. My visit was 2 days, technically 3 if you count the fact that we went on a city tour the day before.

3) SMART isn't going to book travel for you, so your dates are more to show that you've talked to your SF and have figured it out.

When do we get the payments for site visit? I would like to buy my tickets early as possible.

I would buy your ticket as soon as you can afford to buy it/have a date set in stone and not rely on the SMART payment. Some people weren't paid until after they traveled. I wasn't paid until about two weeks before. It depends on how on top of it SMART is. I didn't book my hotel until after SMART sent the stipend though. You could also book something that doesn't require payment until you arrive or ask your SF if they're suggesting anywhere/if you get the government rate.

So the awardee dashboard states that we must attend the site visit by 7/15. I just want to confirm that this is true, or do some SF's schedule their site visits after this date? Thanks!

I would 100% assume that's true. Your SF runs off of SMARTs schedule and so do you. Especially since your first payment is the next month I'm sure they wanna be 100% you're staying with the program. Pretty sure last year the visit had to happen in June.

If your SF schedules it after that date it is their responsibility to work with SMART. The date chosen will depend on when the SF's smart coordinator is available.

Received reimbursement via direct deposit for site visit 3 weeks after the actual visit, and 16 days after site visit form was submitted.

Does anyone know if there is a site visit report template or form available? I visited my SF last week and want to submit the report before the 5 day deadline but i am unable to find the form in the portal website. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
